Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries
Mr. Aziz AKHANNOUCH, that H. M. the King named Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, was born in Tafrout in 1961. He has a degree in Management from the Université de Sherbrooke, Canada.

Mr. AKHANNOUCH is President of the Akwa Group that brings together over 50 companies. He has also been President of the Souss-Massa-Draa region and a member of the Municipal Council of Tafrout.

He is an active member of the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM) and an administrator at the BMCE-Bank and at the Academia Fondation.

Mr. AKHANNOUCH was, among other things, a member of the Privitisation Evalualtion Group, part of the think tank under H. M Hassan II until 1999, a member of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and an administrator in the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners.

He is also the President of the "Association du concert pour la tolérance."
