The Agriculture Development Agency's mission is to participate in the implementation of the Green Morocco Plan.
The Agency is responsible for proposing action plans to the governmental authorities relative to the support of high value added agricultural sectors with the objective of improving productivity through:
- the search for and mobilization of property to extend the agricultural zones and develop high value added crops;
- the encouragement to enhance the value of agricultural products through the setting up of new irrigation systems, the equipping of farms and the packaging and commercialization of products;
- the promotion of agricultural investments and the implementation of partnerships with investors.
The Agricultural Development Agency is also responsible for proposing action plans to the governmental authorities relative the support of solidarity-based agriculture through the promotion and implementation of economically viable projects in view of improving agriculturists' earnings.
To fulfill the missions vested in the Agency, it is responsible for:
- proposing to the government incentive and subsidy systems in the framework of the agricultural investment code and in the framework of program contracts agreed upon between the State and the agriculturists with reference to the strategic priorities established in the Green Morocco Plan and its progress on a national and regional level.
- promoting national production in terms of agricultural investments through the organization, in collaboration with government agencies and other concerned organisms, the events, fairs, exhibitions and other communication campaigns, in relation to its' mission;
- undertaking all actions necessary to favour partnerships with organizations interested in investing in the agricultural sector;
- organizing communication campaigns, in terms of both awareness and information, aimed at investors and the various actors in the agricultural sector.
