Subsidies and financial aid granted by the FDA (Funds for Agricultural Development)

To encourage private investments in the agricultural sector, the State grants, within the framework of the FDA (Funds for Agricultural Development), financial aid in the form of subsidies and bonuses.

A - Farm equipment – new farming tractors
B - Farm equipment – new farming material
C - Irrigation installations and improvements in farm properties
   1- Improvement of farms (without technical dossier)
   2- Improvement of farms with a local or complimentary irrigation project (with technical dossier)

D - Intensification of animal production
   1. Genetic improvement
   2. Material for raising and breeding animals
   3. Barns and related structures
   4. Milk-collection centers

E - Enhancement of the value of agricultural products
   1. Refrigeration units for agricultural products and grain storage units
   2. Packaging units for fruits and vegetables
   3. Extraction units for olives

F - Use of protection nets against insects for greenhouse market gardens
G - Promotion and diversification of agricultural exports
H - Fruit arboriculture
I - Laboratory analysis
J - Forest arboriculture
K - Use and storage of certified cereal seed
L - Use of mono-germ sugar-beet seed
FISCAL INCENTIVES

- Exoneration of all direct taxes on agricultural revenues (2013).
- Minimal fees for the importation of the majority of products and materials for agricultural use.
- Exoneration of the TVA (value-added tax) for the majority of products and materials destined for agricultural use.
