Strategy

The importance given to the development of local products in Morocco emanates from the real potential that the country holds in terms of favorable ecosystems, varied biodiversity and know-how in the field. A list of more than 200 local products has been identified as part of regional studies identifying local products.

Thus, and to externalize the potentialities offered by the products of the soil, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests elaborated a Trading Development Strategy of Local Products which identified several priority axes of intervention at different levels of the chain of values:
