Two workshops on mediation in agricultural aggregation projects

04 Jul.19

The Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA) organized two workshops on mediation in agricultural aggregation projects in Meknes and Agadir on the 2nd and the 4th July 2019 respectively. These workshops aim to set up the collegial mediation bodies stipulated by law 04-12 on agricultural aggregation.

These workshops, intended for members of these bodies were dedicated to the presentation of mediation tools developed by the ADA with the support of the Mediation Center under the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Morocco.

The collegial mediation bodies are chaired by the Regional Directorates of Agriculture and the Chambers of Agriculture group and the Interprofessional. These bodies are responsible for settling any disputes that may arise from the execution of aggregation contracts.

It should be noted that the law on agricultural aggregation has made the use of conventional mediation compulsory before the implementation of any other arbitration or litigation procedure.
